5. HOW WE USE ANALYTICS AND INTEREST-BASED ADVERTISING
5.1 Our Use of Online Analytics.
We may use third-party web analytics services on our Services. These service providers use the sort of technology described in our Cookie Policy and Section 2.3.2 of this Privacy Policy to help us analyze how visitors use our Website by collecting information about your interaction with our Website, including but not limited to your operating system, browser, pages visited on the Website, time spent on web pages, links clicked, and the third-party website from which you arrived. The information (including your IP address) collected by these technologies will be disclosed to or collected directly by these service providers, who use the information to evaluate your use of the Services. We also use Google Analytics for certain purposes related to advertising, as described in Section 5.2 of this Privacy Policy and in our Cookie Policy. To prevent Google Analytics from using your Personal Information for analytics purposes, you may install the Google Analytics Opt-out Browser Add-on by clicking here.
5.2 Our Use of Interest-Based Advertising.
When you use the Website, we may share information about you, such as a hashed version of your email address, your IP address, and information about your device settings with our third-party advertising technology providers to allow them to serve you with advertisements based on predictions about your interests generated from your visit to certain websites. Those third-party advertising technology providers may use that information to assign you a unique ID for the purpose of recognizing you on your devices. We may place this unique ID in our first-party cookie or use a partner that places a third-party cookie and allows it to be used for online and interest-based ad targeting. Your unique ID may be shared by us or on our behalf with third-party advertisers for interest-based ad targeting.
Third party advertising networks may also place cookies, web beacons or pixel tags, or other similar tracking technologies on your computer browser, mobile phone application, or other device to collect information about your use of the Website, including your Personal Information, in order to: (i) inform, optimize, and serve ads based on past visits to our Website and other sites and mobile applications; and (ii) report how our ad impressions, other uses of ad services, and interactions with these ad impressions and ad services are related to visits to our Websites. We also allow other third parties to access their own cookies or other tracking technologies on your computer, mobile phone, or other device you use to access the Website so that interest-based ads may be delivered to you when you are using other websites and mobile applications. We likewise may work with platform providers who serve advertising across devices to allow those providers to recognize a user across multiple devices. This is done, generally, by correlating common attributes (such as IP addresses, other browser or device information, hashed email addresses, or unique ID) across devices, to infer a common identity across multiple channels.
Where a third-party advertiser assigns you a unique ID, we may place this unique ID in our first party cookie or use a partner that places a third-party cookie and allows it to be used for online and interest-based ad targeting. Your unique ID may be shared by us or on our behalf with third party advertisers for interest-based ad targeting.
The third parties that use these technologies may offer you a way to opt-out of interest-based ad targeting, as is described in our Cookie Policy and in Section 9 (What are Your Rights & Choices?) of this Privacy Policy. We do not maintain or control these opt-opt mechanisms, which are provided by non-affiliated third parties. Further, we do not control which third parties choose to participate in these opt-out mechanisms.
You can opt-out of interest-based advertising (also referred to as targeted or cross-contextual advertising, as those terms are defined in applicable privacy laws), by visiting our Do Not Sell/Share My Information page. For additional information about your legal rights regarding our collection and disclosure of your Personal Information, please refer to the following Sections of this Privacy Policy: Section 9 (What Are Your Rights & Choices?), Section 11 (Use of The Services By Users From Outside The United States), and Section 12 (Additional Privacy Rights and Choices of California Residents).
6. THIRD PARTY LINKS
The Website may contain links to third-party websites, resources, advertisers, and other products and services. This Privacy Policy only applies to Adtaxi’s collection, use, and disclosure of your Personal Information, and not to the privacy practices, websites, content, and goods or services of those third parties. We have no control over the policies and practices of third-party web sites or businesses. If you choose to visit the website of a third party linked to or from the Website or take part in any transaction or service relating to a third-party web site or business, you should review all policies, including but not limited to the privacy policy and terms of use, of such business or web site.
7. HOW WE PROTECT YOUR INFORMATION
Adtaxi endeavors to protect the privacy, security, and integrity of your Personal Information from unauthorized access, use, disclosure, destruction, or loss, using what we believe to be appropriate technical, physical, and organizational measures. These security measures may vary based on a variety of factors, including, the sensitivity of the Personal Information about you that we process and maintain, the state of technology, and applicable laws.
Although we take maintaining the security and integrity of your Personal Information extremely seriously, no data transmission or storage is 100% secure. We cannot guarantee complete security of your Personal Information. Unauthorized entry or use, hardware or software failure, and other factors, may compromise the security of the Personal Information we maintain about you at any time. You understand that you assume the risk when transmitting Personal Information to us.
8. HOW YOUR PERSONAL INFORMATION IS STORED
The length of time that we retain your Personal Information depends on our relationship with you. We retain your Personal Information for as long as is necessary to: (1) fulfil the purposes for which we collect it (for example, for as long as is necessary to provide you with the Services that you have requested); and (2) as long as necessary to comply with our legal obligations, comply with financial rules or applicable laws, resolve disputes, enforce our agreements, support business operations, or for backup, archival, or audit purposes. This means that we may retain your Personal Information even after your contract for our Services is terminated. Where we retain information for service improvement and development, we take steps to eliminate information that directly identifies you, and we only use the information to uncover collective insights about the use of our Services, not to specifically analyze personal characteristics about you.
If you have elected to receive marketing emails from us, we retain information about your marketing preferences for a reasonable period of time from the date you last expressed interest in our Services, such as when you last opened an email from us. You can opt-out of receiving marketing emails from us by following the unsubscribe instructions described in the email or by sending a request to DataPrivacy@adtaxi.com.
We retain information derived from cookies and other tracking technologies for a reasonable period of time from the date such information was created.
After the applicable retention period, we will either delete or anonymize your information. If deletion or anonymization is not possible, then we will securely store your information and isolate it from any further use until deletion is possible.
9. YOUR PRIVACY RIGHTS AND CHOICES
Depending on the applicable law in your jurisdiction, you may have rights and choices regarding our use of your Personal Information, including the right to request a copy of your information, to correct your Personal Information, or to request the deletion or restriction of your information. This section describes your rights and explains how to exercise those rights. We will not discriminate against you for exercising any of your rights.
If you are a resident of the European Economic Area, Switzerland, or the United Kingdom, please see Section 11 for additional rights. If you are a California resident, please see Section 12 for additional rights under California law.
9.1 Objection and Opt-Out.
Depending on applicable law, you may have the right to “opt-out” of or object to certain uses of your Personal Information at any point. For example, at the time you are requested to provide Personal Information on this Website, you may have the opportunity to elect to (or not to) have your Personal Information used in certain ways. You may also opt-out of promotional emails by clicking on an opt-out link within the email you received or by sending a request to DataPrivacy@adtaxi.com
9.2 Website and Browser Controls.
9.2.1 Cookie Controls and Settings
As is discussed in Section 2.3.2 and Section 5 of this Privacy Policy and in our Cookie Policy, when you access the Website via an Internet-connected device, we may place or collect “cookies” from your web browser or device, and we and our third party partners may use these cookies for various purposes. Depending on the jurisdiction in which you reside, some of these cookies may constitute your Personal Information under applicable law.
Most web browsers are set to accept cookies by default. However, you can go to the settings menu of your web browser to learn how to delete or reject cookies. Additionally, the Website offers you the capability to choose certain cookie preferences about whether or not your web browser will accept – or instead will block or reject – certain cookies from our Website. To implement your personal cookie preferences for the Website, click on the “Cookie Preferences” link at the bottom of the Website to access the cookie preferences menu.
Once you have opened the cookie preferences menu, you can choose whether your web browser will accept or block/reject certain types of cookies from the Website. Please note that some features of the Website may not function correctly if you opt-out of certain types of cookies.
If you clear or delete cookies on your device or web browser after configuring your cookie preferences menu to block or reject certain cookies, this will result in the deletion of the opt-out or blocking cookie. You will need to configure your cookie preferences again after clearing or deleting cookies. You will also need to reconfigure your preferences for each different browser and/or device you use to access the Website. You may revisit or change your cookie selection at any time by clicking on the “Cookie Preferences” link at the bottom of the Website.
For additional information about cookies, implementing your personalized cookie preferences on the Website, and how we collect and use cookies, please refer to our Cookie Policy.
9.2.2 Global Privacy Control (GPC)
Some web browsers and browser extensions support the Global Privacy Control (“GPC”), which can send a signal to the websites you visit that indicates your choice to opt-out of certain types of uses and disclosures of your Personal Information, including sales of your Personal Information. For users of the Website in certain jurisdictions, when we detect a GPC signal, we will make reasonable efforts to respect your privacy-related choices that are identified by the GPC signal we detected and the GPC setting you implemented, as required by applicable laws. To find out more about implementing GPC on your device, click here.
9.2.3 Do Not Track (DNT)
Some web browsers offer a “Do Not Track” (“DNT”) setting that can send a signal to the websites that you visit, which indicates that you do not wish to be tracked by the websites. However, unlike the GPC signals described above, there is no common understanding of how to interpret such DNT signals as of the effective date of this Privacy Policy. As such, our Website does not respond to web browser DNT signals. However, you may change your privacy preferences at any time to manage, block, or limit the use of cookies or similar technologies using the other controls described in this Section 9.2 and in our Cookie Policy.
9.3 Correcting Your Personal Information.
You may request that we update or correct your Personal Information. You can contact us in relation to such requests at DataPrivacy@adtaxi.com. We may retain a record of the information you requested to have corrected if required for legal or recordkeeping purposes. We reserve the right to reject any request to update or correct Personal Information if we are unable to confirm your identity.
9.4 Deleting Your Personal Information.
You may request that we delete your Personal Information. We may also decide to delete your Personal Information if we believe it is inaccurate, incomplete, or that our continued use or storage of the information is no longer required or prohibited by our obligations to other parties or by applicable law. When we delete Personal Information, it will be removed from active databases but may remain in archives where it is not practical or possible to delete it. Please note that, unless otherwise prohibited by applicable laws, even if you request that we delete your Personal Information, we may need to retain certain of your Personal Information to provide the Services to you, comply with our policies or legal obligations, resolve disputes, enforce agreements, or for our legitimate record-keeping and business purposes. We reserve the right to reject any request to delete Personal Information if we are unable to confirm your identity.
You can delete cookies as described in our Cookie Policy
